SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on sassa status the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company stage made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
